We are proud to announce the Story of My Name Project. This is an exciting opportunity to document the individual experiences of Maryland based transgender and gender non conforming folks who have gone through the name change process. This can include talking about what your name means to you, what challenges you may have faced with a name that may not have affirmed who you are, and how life has changed (or stayed the same) since you have obtained a new legal name. Our goal in sharing these stories is to empower individuals who have received a name change to share their journeys, and also to highlight the importance of having a name that affirms your identity. These stories will be posted online, on our website, blog and Facebook, and will only use first names. Interested in participating?
