In the workplace, schools, housing, healthcare, and public accommodations, low-income LGBTQIA+ people in Maryland continue to face inequality, harassment, and discrimination.
Our Policy Advocacy Fund will provide FreeState Justice with the resources we need for staffing, research, coalition building, policy platform development, petitions, written and oral testimony, partner coordination, and community engagement to pass more legislation to make Maryland a more safe and inclusive state for the low-income LGBTQIA+ community.

Every dollar donated to the Maryland LGBTQ Policy Advocacy Fund equips FreeState Justice with the resources to advocate for policies that will greatly improve the lives of our clients and community, especially those who are at greater risk for discrimination and bias. Specifically, this fund will help support building our policy coalition framework, inform the public about bills we’re supporting, and further develop our policy tracker.
