PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends United with LGBTQ People) is the voice of parents, families and allies working with the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. In Howard County, PFLAG offers support groups, youth groups and monthly general meetings, serving families across Maryland in partnership with other PFLAG chapters. The chapter is working with the Howard County government on their elderly support efforts, and with Howard County administration to keep our policies and procedures as LGBT-friendly as possible We join with Howard County schools in making school safer for all our children. Recently, PFLAG partnered with Gender Spectrum and the Ackerman Institute’s Gender & Family Project to launch an inaugural Gender Conference East right here in Baltimore.
