FreeState Justice will be temporarily closing our intake of new cases starting on December 18, 2021. We anticipate reopening for requests on January 18, 2022.

FreeState Justice has seen a large increase in the number of intake requests throughout 2021, particularly over the final half of the year. While FreeState remains dedicated to serving the Maryland LGBTQ+ community to the best of our ability, and we are excited for the opportunity to assist as many people as possible, we feel it is necessary to pause new service requests to make sure we continue to provide quality services to everyone who has contacted us.

In addition, the FreeState Justice office will be closed from December 27, 2021, through January 2, 2022.

If you are in need of services during this time, please consult the list of alternative legal service providers provided below. In the event of an emergency or danger to yourself, you should contact 911.
