Maryland’s Midterm Election is coming up on November 6th! We are encouraging all eligible voters to make their way to the polls as early voting is currently in effect.  If you are not yet registered, there is same-day registration available at early voting polling sites with a valid ID and proof of residency. Please note that same-day registration is only available during early voting and not on election day.

Who can register to vote? A U.S. citizen, Maryland resident, and those who will be at least 18 by November 6, 2018-the midterm general election. For more information, please see the Voter Registration Introduction.

You can use the Maryland Board of Elections online system or mail a print copy the Voter Registration Application to the State Board of Elections. This process works for first-time voters and people looking to change their political party affiliation. You can also register to vote by completing an application at an MVA, or when applying for/renewing your license or identification card.
