FreeState Justice seeks an engaged, passionate, and media-savvy intern for the 2017 Fall semester in Development and Communications. The Development & Communications Intern will work directly under the supervision of the Executive Director. The Executive Director will work directly with the intern to identify particular areas of interest and assign exciting work in those areas. Qualified candidates will possess strong writing skills, be conversant in issues affecting low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, be committed to approaching these issues with an intersectional lens, and possess skills outlined in the work description. This intern can expect to spend ~15 hours in the office per week.

The Operations Intern will work directly under the supervision of the Executive Director to identify ways to increase efficiency through creating better processes, improving delivery of service to clients, and helping create policies that expand the staff’s capacity to do more good. Qualified candidates will possess strong organizational skills, be committed to serving low-income LGBTQ+ people, be committed to using an intersectional lens, and possess skills outlined in the work description. This intern can expect to spend ~15 hours in the office per week.
