The Human Rights Campaign has released its 2019 Municipal Equality Report. This report evaluates the inclusivity and equity of laws, policies, and services to LGBTQ people. It evaluates cities and metro areas across the country, including 10 cities in Maryland. We are proud to say that Rockville, Frederick, Columbia and Baltimore received final scores of 100/100. Columbia, Baltimore, Annapolis, Gaithersburg, and Hagerstown saw increased scores from 2018. However, this is not to say that our work is complete. With statewide results averaging at about 86/100, up from 79/100 in 2018, there is still more work to be done across Maryland.
