SpeakFire! Panel Series Presents: Naming Our Own Gods

Spirituality as a Means of Freedom

Let’s explore the role spirituality plays in igniting passion for liberation. Join us for an important conversation on how spirituality can be a source of healing for Black LGBTQ folks.

Panelists include:

  •  Richael Faithful, folk healer, conjurer and energy worker
  • Nine Trillion, Humanist
  •  Alexander Blue, former Jehovah’s Witness
  • Dr. Kelly Brown Douglass, Theologian

The panel will be hosted at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore (located inside the Waxter Center at 1000 Cathedral Street) on Thursday, January 14th, 6:30 pm to 9 pm.  Refreshments will be served.

The SpeakFire! Series is a brave space for Black LGBTQ folks and allies to reflect on our histories of great resistance and love. The Center for Black Equity-Baltimore, STAR TRACK Adolescent Health Program at University of Maryland, GLSEN Baltimore, Black Trans* Advocacy, Sistas of the “T”, and FreeState Legal have partnered together to host these panels with the understanding
that all black lives matter.
