Joel calls Los Angeles County home and is a recent graduate with a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Applied Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Joel’s goal is to advocate for marginalized communities and elicit impactful institutional change. He has begun this work with notable organizations such as the Victory Institute, Equality California, Human Rights Watch, and as Press Intern for the office of Honorable Congresswoman Kathy Castor. He is confident that his background in communications and advocacy will help him as he works for the most marginalized members of our society at both a local and international level.
