Before assuming this new role, Trae' has a background in collegiate education and child welfare, where she spearheaded the establishment of new policies, procedures, and programs that positively impacted LGBTQ, BIPOC, and urban populations. Notably, she founded a PRIDE organization that remains active at her former universities. Trae' also played a pivotal role in implementing a human trafficking unit and a specialized LGBTQ assignment within her department before being promoted to a Compliance Officer position. She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminology and African American Studies from Florida State University, as well as two Master of Science degrees in Social Work and Forensic Science. Currently, she is taking a hiatus from her doctoral program in Clinical Psychology.
Trae' is deeply rooted in family values and finds joy in activities such as cooking, reading, singing, drumming, and collecting sneakers. A seasoned traveler, she has explored 34 countries, 30 of which she ventured to alone. Her passion for effecting change extends to her advocacy for social justice, LGBTQ rights, and BIPOC communities. Trae' has dedicated herself to the social welfare field, collaborating with local and state haven programs.
